Attended Claremore Junior College’s Hank Thompson School of Country Music

Holds an Associate of Arts Degree In Country Music

Married Trick and Fancy Roper Hilda Machado on April 12th, 1980

After writing for Boxcar Willies publishing company in Springfield, Missouri for 2 years,

He and Hilda moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1982

Terry has been a staff writer for numerous publishing companies including Opryland Music Group (Acuff-Rose) now part of Sony ATV, Neon Sky (George Straits publishing company), and Brewin’ Music

Terry now owns his own publishing company and is a partner in 2 others.

Terry’s songwriting has earned him 7 gold records, 3 platinum records, an NSAI award and an Academy of Western Artist Will Rogers Award
